Financed by the Fritz Thyssen Stiftung, the interdisciplinary conference "Money – Power – Emotions. Wealth in historical perspective", taking place on 25 and 26 September 2013 at the German Historical Institute in Rome, aims to contribute to the current national and international debates on the relation between economic and emotional actions as well as the implications of unequal property distribution. Adjunct to the conference, this blog introduces speakers and presenters, unveils the sections and topics of examination, incentivizes further thoughts and invites the public to exchange ideas.

Das Blog begleitet die interdisziplinäre Tagung „Geld – Macht – Emotionen. Reichtum in historischer Perspektive“, die von der Fritz Thyssen Stiftung gefördert wird und am 25./26. September 2013 am Deutschen Historischen Institut in Rom stattfindet. Die Konferenz versteht sich als Beitrag zu den aktuellen, national wie international geführten Debatten über den Zusammenhang von ökonomischem und emotionalem Handeln sowie die Implikationen einer ungleichen Vermögensverteilung.
