While planning for the 2017 11th conference of the Society for Emblem Studies, which will take place for the first time in France, in Nancy, the members of the organising committee have decided to create the AEEF, an association devoted to emblem studies in France. The AEEF is an association which aims at gathering the various actors of emblem studies in France and to promote this area of research in literature just as well as in history or art history. The association’s interests range from books to settings, decorative arts, comics,…The goal of the AEEF is mainly to ensure the circulation of information regarding the organisation of academic meetings, event planning and publications relevant to the study of emblematics.
