Swiss qualitative research encounters
The Swiss Qualitative Research Encounters is an interdisciplinary working group whose aim is to address methodological challenges in qualitative research. Our focus is on the study of contemporary societies, mainly through fieldwork research, and including both European and non-European societies. The working group organizes at least once a year an international workshop. Too often, the relation between research statements and the scope of the gathered data goes astray. The purpose of these encounters is to address core issues of the social sciences through the lens of the specific demands of qualitative research and to review its assessments accordingly. As result, the working group promotes the creation of practical research solutions adapted to the particularities of case studies. The aim of this blog is to share the discussions of the Swiss Qualitative Research Encounters with other researchers interested in these issues.
