Quarterly journal dedicated to advance knowledge about public policy in different sectors, countries and regions of the world.
Revue trimestrielle qui vise à faire progresser les connaissances sur les politiques publiques dans différents secteurs, pays et régions du monde.
The International Review of Public Policy is the flagship journal of the International Public Policy Association, the world-wide organization of public policy researchers. Its main aims IRPP are to transcend the fragmentation of the field of public policy, to facilitate the exchange between the different approaches and research traditions , and to stimulate theoretical and empirical progress in public policy. The journal is open to all types of policy studies, analysis and research traditions that genuinely contribute to an improvement of the policy conversation among policy researchers, society and policy actors, including the world of think tanks and international organizations.
IRPP deals with comprehensive, analytic and normative issues such as an agenda setting, the nature of the policy process, how organizations learn or fail to learn, the structure of wicked policy problems, and different ways to appraise and evaluate policies. It is also open to contributions about policy engagement, the impact of policy research, knowledge utilization and the connection between policy research and democracy. It welcomes submissions on substantive policy issues such as health, poverty, sustainability, and economic regulation. Public policy involves input from a variety of academic disciplines including political science, economics, sociology, planning, anthropology, ethnography, and strands of political theory: all these disciplines are welcome.
Truly international in authorship and readership, IRPP is free to its authors and its readers.
