PanMeMic
Interaction and communication in the pandemic and beyond
The blog will start a collective research, observation and conversation initiative on how practices of communication and social interaction are changing during the global pandemic. We are a group of semioticians based in all continents (20 different countries so far, but the team is expanding). We study meaning making, communication and social interaction. These pandemic times are changing the ways in which we all communicate and interact with others - and this is affecting everybody (similarly and differently) worldwide. We want a place for publishing our reflections and starting public forms of conversation also with people outside academia to gather observations on the changes affecting our communications and interactions, in all spheres, as well as how people cope with these changes.
