Confidence: language learning
As academia hurdles toward autonomy in language learning and teaching, issues of decreased self-confidence, insufficient interactions in the learning language(s), and underdeveloped approaches to solve these issues become a threat to the learning process. To respond to the changing educational climate, this research blog, entitled “Confidens” after the Latin present participle root form, takes the perspective that confidence in language learning is indeed an ongoing action. It is the research blog associated with Geer’s 2025 doctoral dissertation: Oser S’affirmer en Langues Étrangères ! (Dare to assert ourselves in foreign languages!). The blog contains regular, organized posts, with updates on the blog, on the doctoral axes, on publications, and on the virtual world.
